In this research project, the company Color Service aims to develop an innovative dosing island featuring several novel elements compared to the current internal and international state of the art. These can be specifically identified as: new dosing systems (including for oiled powders) and a new conveying system designed to reduce EVA bag-forming material.
In addition, the proposed activity shows a strong focus on environmental sustainability: with the support of the consultant Service Group R&D SRL, the objective is to assess the process carbon footprint. This will be achieved through the collection and processing of primary data: consumption and any waste generated and analysis using SimaPro software.
The research and development activities will therefore be aimed at the research, collection of specifications, design, development, and testing of the technologies being developed.
The project was supported by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy through the granting of a direct contribution to expenses amounting to €1,001,471.50 and a subsidized loan of €3,239,760.30.
